Who is eligible to use Kurnia Express Own Damage Claim service and Kurnia Express Windscreen Claim service?
 
Kurnia Express Own Damage Claim service is available to all Kurnia Private Car Comprehensive policyholders and Kurnia Express Windscreen Claim service is applicable for comprehensive policy with Extra windscreen coverage.

Do I need to lodge a police report eventhough my vehicle sustained minor damages?
 
Yes, you are required by law to lodge a police report within 24 hours. It also serves as an evidence to support your Kurnia Express Own Damage claim.

What documents do I need to submit for my Kurnia Express Own Damage claim?
 
Relevant documents required are:
 
Copy of vehicle registration card
Identity card and driving license of the vehicle owner
Identity card and driving license of the driver (if he/ she is not the owner)
Police Report or Slip (indicating Police Report Number)

What is the limit to which I can claim under Kurnia Express Own Damage claim?
 
You can claim up to a maximum amount of RM3,000.
 
5.
If I can't send my car to Kurnia Branch on the same day of the accident, can I still lodge a Kurnia Express Own Damage claim?
 
Yes, you may as long as it is within 48 hours from the date of accident.
 
6.
What should I do, if the workshop of my choice is unable to repair my car within the Kurnia Express Own Damage claim amount paid to me?
 
You may return the money to us within 7 days and we will arrange to have your claim processed and vehicle repaired under the normal claims procedure.

May I make a Kurnia Express Own Damage claim after my car is repaired?
 
As you are aware, prior approval from the insurance company is required for any Own Damage repair claims. However, our loss surveyors will make this process as fast as possible for you.

8.
Do I need to lodge a police report for windscreen claim?
 
No. All you have to do is to take photographs of the damage windscreen consist of :-
1 close up view showing windscreen logo / brand
1 full view of the vehicle with registration number
1 close up view clearly depicting the damaged windscreen area
 
9.
What should I do after taking the photographs?
 
After taking the photographs of the damaged windscreen, you may proceed for repair / replace at your choice of workshop and pay for the costs. Remember to get the receipt.
 
10.
What documents do I need to submit for my windscreen claim?
 
Relevant documents required are:-
- Copy of the Vehicle Registration Card
- Identity Card and Driving License of the vehicle owner
- Identity Card and Driving License of the driver (if he / she is not the owner)
- Official receipt of the replacement or repair of the windscreen
- 4 photographs before repair
- Bring your vehicle after repair to our branch for after repair inspection.
 
11.
What is the difference between repair and replacement of windscreen?
 
If you claim for repair, the claim amount will be deducted from the initial sum insured and the balance sum insured remains unless reinstated by paying additional premium. However for replacement, the windscreen benefit will automatically terminates upon claim unless reinstated by additional premium.
 
12.
Will my NCD be affected after making the windscreen claim?
 
No. Windscreen claim is for policy with extended insurance coverage (Endorsement 89) and claim under this endorsement will not affect your NCD.
 
13.
What is the limit to which I can claim under Kurnia Express Windscreen Claim?
 
You can claim up to a maximum amount of RM5,000 for express service at any Kurnia Branches.
 
 
14.
How will I be paid once my Kurnia Express claim is approved?
 
You will be paid either by cheque or direct deposit to your bank account.
 
15.
How long does it take to have my Kurnia Express claim approved?
 
Once your car has been surveyed at our Kurnia Branch, your claim will be processed and payment will be made to you immediately provided full documentation is received.
   
16.
If I am the driver at the time of accident, can I lodge the Kurnia Express claim and accept the payment on behalf of the owner?
 
Both the vehicle owner and the driver must be present to sign the relevant documents.
