9001:2008 certification, and this commitment applies throughout
the entire company.
Kurnia Insurans was quick to embrace ISO requirements in early 1995. We
adopted this world-class reference standard set by the International
Organization for Standardization (ISO) as the foundation for our
operational systems. We were ISO 9002 certified by SIRIM in 1996.
In 2002, we upgraded our compliance certification to ISO 9001:2000
and presently we are certified to the latest 2008 standard. Our
continuous commitment to quality had enabled us to meet and surpass
the requirements in this certification year after year. Compliance
to this standard also serves to strengthen our compliance level
to other industry related standards.
This certification reflects our management's commitment to all
Kurnia Insurans's stakeholders to manage its operations and resources in
the most efficient and effective manner, in order to deliver the
highest quality of services and products to our customers. We have
in place comprehensive and up-to-date operational systems, and
we practice close monitoring of each service incident not meeting
requirements and track every customer feedback until it's satisfactory
resolution. Our internal quality auditors, besides annual external
audit by SIRIM, also carry out regular quality audits. Last, but
not least, Kurnia Insurans is dedicated to continual process improvement
and service quality upgrading in order to better serve our policyholders
and stakeholders.
This is one of the reasons Kurnia Insurans's customer base has been expanding,
from slightly more than 500,000 policyholders in 1993 to 1.2 million
in 1997 and quantum leaped to over 3 million policyholders today.
Our registered quality system is in compliance with MS ISO 9001:2008
Quality Management Systems - Requirements and the scope of registration
is "Provision Of General Insurance Services". Our Registration
No is AR 0934.
